自中国制造2025计划被提出以后,制造业瞬间变得很热门,铁娘子董明珠说话经常带刺儿,直言不讳地抨击竞争对手,但大家愿意原谅她,甚至把她捧成网红;代工大王郭台铭也有同样的性格,说话更是非常有特色,免不了得罪很多人,特别是大陆的媒体,加之,富士康是一个百万员工的大象企业,局部区域常会出现一些问题。好在,随着富士康褪去神秘,开放园区,更妥善地处理媒体关系等等,公众对代工大王的印象逐渐好转,尤其是认同这家企业天文数字的营收、创造就业的能力以及对当地经济的拉动作用,但因地处产业链最底端,他们和媒体的期望之间总会隔着一道微妙的墙。前不久,笔者看到一篇热门文章,题目叫做《上帝欠富士康一个任正非》,大概意思就是:富士康是一个优秀的企业,但是要想更上一层楼,需要任正非这样的企业家来管理和掌舵。

显然,文章的作者不是什么大咖,也应该没有经历太多的制造业管理,他大概只是读到过一些央视之于任正非的褒奖,天真地认为,任正非可以摆平一切,但稍微懂一些企业经营的人都知道:华为和富士康是完全不同性质的企业,前者做研发,汇聚了一大批的优秀精英;而后者则是制造企业,帮大量的平凡员工找到工作,任正非真到了制造业,估计需要一段很长很长的适应期,妄论脱胎换骨。

制造业水挺深,特别是当员工数量达到百万之巨的时候,更会衍生出大量的问题,经营难度更是直线上升。首先,百万员工意味着天文数字的成本,众所周知,制造业都是营收上天、利润贴地的,而其中最大的成本就是“用工”成本,企业要负担员工的工资、加班费、保险、福利等等,更尴尬的是,制造业以流水线生产为主,工作都是标准化的,企业向员工支付薪水,但只用到他们的眼睛和双手,基本用不到他们的脑子,这意味着,制造业员工的薪水不会太高;相比之下,华为的人才体系内则充满着985本科以及琳琅满目的研究生、博士生,任正非深谙人性,舍得分钱给到员工,且豪言:只要钱给到位,不是人才的人也会变成人才,显然,如此经营箴言更适合华为,毕竟,任正非麾下都是上等的璞玉,但同样的做法,就不适应流水线员工,尤其是低学历者更是无法用金钱改造之,正如即便给我3000万美金年薪,诱惑足够大,但我也打不了NBA...

其次,制造业的经营更注重风险管控,任何的生产订单都是一笔生意,都有非常明显的时效性,加之,利润非常低,稍微大手笔的投资,都可能消耗掉几年的利润,所以,大型制造业的经营者,从来都不是引领潮流的先锋,也很难完成重要的大变革,强悍如郭台铭曾经喊出:三年百万机器人计划,最后也是烂尾计划。事实上,可以想象任何机器人的上线,都需要研发、优化、运行、维护,都需要大量的前期投资,动辄上百万、几千万,而制造业的订单又是飘忽不定的,与其把钱压在自动化上,倒不如直接招聘人类员工,支付相对低廉的薪水,这也是为什么富士康没有百万机器人,却常有百万的员工。显然,任正非不会这么干,也无法只接受短期投资,中美贸易大战、5G军备竞赛,都体现出华为做长期研发投资的决心,况且,任正非早就说过:在通信业界,没有五十年是干不成什么事的,同样的五十年送给郭台铭,可能早就换掉好几轮的生意伙伴,但流水线依旧是流水线,百万员工依旧是百万员工,经营没有对错,只有在行业大环境中的适者生存。

此外,因富士康坐拥百万员工,之于当地经济的拉动非常重要,它必须自己保持健康,不能轻易倒闭,或者说,要同地方管理搞好关系,有了管理者的支持,郭台铭才逐渐把企业做大做强,大到不能倒,相信这也是互联网企业家鲜有的经历。
