[Global Express] At 9.30am this morning, China Sea Police official Weibo@China Sea Police wrote that on January 4,2020, the Chinese Sea Police fleet of 2502 ships cruised in the territorial sea of our Diaoyu Island.
Japan's Kyodo news agency said it was the first time a Chinese official ship had sailed into the Diaoyu Islands this year. On the morning of the 4th day, four vessels of the China Maritime Police Department sailed into the Diaoyu Island territorial waters and sailed for about one hour and 40 minutes before leaving the territorial sea and entering the outer contiguous zone, the newspaper said, citing the maritime security headquarters of Japan's 11th Region.
A spokesman for China's foreign ministry has repeatedly stressed that the Diaoyu Islands and their affiliated islands have been an inherent part of China since ancient times. China has sufficient historical and legal basis for the sovereignty of the Diaoyu Islands, and its determination to safeguard the territorial sovereignty of the Diaoyu Islands is firm.
